AUGUST DRIVE & DINE

Warm, windy, wine, wood fired pizza and wooded views pretty much describes the August Drive & Dine to Calico Skies. Twenty-two Corvettes and forty plus Corvette owners found social distancing a simple task sitting in the outdoor area next to the vineyards, while listening to music and conversing with other human beings during this period of semi-isolation.

Thank you Prez John for planning this event to substitute for our normal monthly meeting. A few prospective members joined us for the drive and the comradery. Doug and Jane Nestor’s C-8 which was picked up at the National Corvette Museum recently was one of the highlighted cars along with a really nice rare 66 Mosport Green coupe owned by a prospective member dominated the conversation on the car side of things. The Black Hills Fall Color Event, the great wood fired pizza and the wind dominated the conversation side of things.

Our September Drive and Dine will be the Black Hills Fall Color event September 17-20. Watch for details on the October Drive & Dine, which will be a “Burgers, Fries and Catch Up” type of event.
