We're in Full Swing!

Boy, has this spring been a whirlwind of events for the club, it has been fantastic to see so many of you come out to enjoy all we’ve put together for the membership. This past month gave all of you the opportunity to gather for our spring Adopt-A-Highway cleanup effort, the Spring Rally, Drive & Dine to the Golden Pheasant in Remsen, IA, a very well attended general membership meeting, and just

this past week a Drive & Dine to the Vander Haag truck museum in Sanborn, IA, Yesterday’s Memories, capped off with diner at Langley’s Bar & Grill in Sheldon. It’s tough to top the month of May for activities!

This month we look forward to three events and we’d love to see all of you at all of them! First up is a Drive & Dine to Buffalo Ridge Brewing in Hartford on Wednesday, June 10, a Drive & Dine to the Round Lake Vineyards & Winery in Round Lake, MN on Tuesday, June 16, followed by our June general membership meeting on Wednesday, June 24. Unless otherwise noted, all caravans to our D&D destinations leave from Abdullah’s shop for Sioux Empire Cleaning in

Brandon. If you would like to pick up the caravan along the way to a D&D, just let us know.

July will be a very active month for the club and I hope you all can join in the many opportunities to get involved and enjoy our beautiful cars and comradery. We are excited to be able to participate in the Sioux Falls Independence Day Parade on July 4. The parade committee has given us a 20 car allocation with some of those providing rides to dignitaries! At our May membership meeting we had 17 cars sign up to participate. We still have room for a few more cars so if you are interested please email the club or let a board member know so we can be sure and get you added to the list. We will be communicating details out to those that signed up via email as we know more information.

July 15 marks the start of the 55th annual Black Hills Corvette Classic and all of the great things that are part of it. If you haven’t registered yet, I’d encourage you to do so, it is always a fun time with hundreds and hundreds of other Corvettes cruising the Hills. Registration and packet pickup will kickoff at Jerry’s on Wednesday, July 15 from 9-1:00. This will be followed up with Hot Summer Nites in downtown Sioux Falls running from 6-10 PM. We are expecting 300+ Corvettes to fill the Lumber Exchange ramp with festivities flowing out into the 8th & Railroad lot. In addition to all of the Corvettes, live music, many food trucks, Remedy pouring libations, and

the Scouts serving up soda and water are certain to bring the fun! This is a community event and we are expecting a fantastic turnout. Support across the community has been amazing. Following Hot Summer Nites, the Caravan to the Black Hills will be departing Thursday morning at 8:00 AM from the east side of the Sioux Falls Best Western Ramkota Inn.

It is going to be a great summer, please join us for as many activities as you can as we all enjoy the Corvette lifestyle and the many opportunities to make new lifelong friends.
