What a month!

We may have just set a record for the most packed month of events for our members in the Club’s history!
July 4 celebrating America’s 250th by participating in the Sioux Falls Independence Day Parade. In addition to providing many cars for parade dignitaries, we had a great showing of Corvettes to represent the Club to the community. Following the parade there was a social and BBQ at the Hardy’s home to keep the festive vibes flowing.
July 11 we held our first “pop-up” Drive & Dine to the Blind Butcher Brewery, with 20 members joining the afternoon cruise to Inwood, IA.
July 14 Clair Steiner held a pre-BHCC picnic at the Famers Market Shelter in Falls Park with several members attending and assisting Clair welcome guests to Sioux Falls.
July 15 was a huge day as we kicked off the 55th Annual Black Hills Corvette Classic with registration and lunch at Jerry’s Chevrolet & Corvette Center, followed up with a phenomenally successful Hot Summer Nites in downtown Sioux Falls. Over 300 cars were in attendance for HSN and thousands of guests came out to enjoy the celebration.
July 16-19 many club members traveled to the Black Hills to enjoy all things BHCC, some even continued on to Banff!
July 29 our final Drive & Dine for July with a short drive and dinner at Alibi Bar & Grill.

Unquestionably the star of the show was Hot Summer Nites and the return to downtown. This was a large collaborative community event led by the Club, joined by great partners and sponsors to make it all come together. Over 300 beautiful Corvettes filled the Lumber Exchange Ramp with the party flowing out into the 8th & RR parking lot. It was a very hot day and the shade in the ramp provided the perfect show place for the cars, great socializing, 1,000’s of strolling spectators, renewing old friendships and making new ones. It took a village to pull this off and with the support of 8th & RR Office Center, Lloyd Properties, Experience Sioux Falls, Downtown Sioux Falls, Sioux Empire Cleaning,

Remedy Brewing, Jerry’s Chevrolet & Corvette Center, Empire Construction, American Legion Post 15, Ambush Basketball & Apparel, and the Sioux Council of Scouting America, it was one of the best downtown events of the summer. Our Facebook engagement promoting HSN and the BHCC has had over 315,000 views since Media Day in May. Management of Experience Sioux Falls told us that our Club was the best run, most well-organized group they have worked with in hosting a downtown signature event. We could not have done it without the leadership and hustle of Cheri Beyer and Barry Konken, along with the help of the many who volunteered via the Sioux Falls Corvette Club Beer Drinking League!
Looking ahead we have so much more summer to enjoy our wonderful Corvettes. Please join us on Wednesday,

August 12, 5:30 PM, for our annual picnic at the Farmers Market Shelter on the north end of Falls Park, Sioux Falls. If you know of anyone that may be interested in joining the club, please bring them and we will treat them to a complementary meal. If you have other guests you wish to bring, feel free to invite them, the cost would be $25/person.
Additionally in August we have 2 Drive & Dines. The first on Monday, August 17, with a trip to Okoboji to hear Doc Walker and his big band play at Pearsons Art Center. Dinner will be at Bracco’s at 4:30, the Big Band concert runs 7:00-9:00 PM. A caravan will gather at Abdulah’s at 2:00 PM, departing for Okoboji at 2:30. See the Events Calendar for more information. August 19 will be our Board of Director’s meeting. The final August Drive & Dine is scheduled for Tuesday, August 25, with a drive up to Madison and dinner at the Office Bar & Grill.
We know many of you follow our Club on Facebook and Instagram,

where we’ve posted many photos of the great events we’ve had this year. However, we also know that some of our members do not use Facebook and would love to see these photos as well. You are in luck; we’ve recently added hundreds of photos to the 2026 Photo Gallery on our webpage where you can relive and reminisce about all the good times had this year. Simply go to our website, www.siouxfallscorvetteclub.com, click on the Photos tab, select the 2026 button and enjoy! A big shout out to our Editor, Ryan Berg, for loading up our photo gallery for your viewing pleasure with photos taken by Historian Paul Dyke, Abdulah Delibasic, Vice President Tom Matthys, and Prez Mike Hardy.
Get out and enjoy the rest of the summer and I hope to see many of you at some or all of our upcoming events!
Save the wave!
