Prez Sez - Keeping the Summer Alive!
July 29, 2024
Wow! Another great BHCC is in the books! I hope everyone had a super time, I know that Elaine and I sure did! Thanks to
Jerry’s Chevrolet for his very generous sponsorship of the SFCC, for providing the kickoff for the BHCC event and for their hospitality and lunch. Thank you to Art, Marie & Shannon Nordstrom for running the Quick 60 at the Fairgrounds and providing the prize money. A special thanks to Art & Marie for providing the cube of bikes and the prize money for the winner at Hot Summer Nights. Congratulations to the American Legion Post 15 for raising almost $350 from the ticket sales on the bicycle weight. Kudos to Barry Konken and Mike Skiles for their planning and work at the BHCC. Hats off to Ryan Berg and Jen Johnke for all their hard work, time and effort in handling the merchandise.
There are still many activities to participate in this year, and I hope that you will attend as many as you can. Abdulah Delibasic, another sponsor is hosting his annual Lamb Feast which is a very special treat no one wants to miss! This year it is being held at his business in Brandon on Sunday, October 13th. Be sure to mark this down in your calendar!
Also, don’t miss the Annual SFCC Picnic on August14th sponsored by Jason Ahrendt of State Farm Insurance. Because Art and Marie will not be in town, this year the picnic is being held at Falls Park in the large shelter on the north side. Food will be provided by Tony’s Catering. This is a free event and open to all SFCC members.
I hope to see you at any or all of the events you see below. Save the wave!
