2025 BHCC Impressions

Overall, I rate the 2025 BHCC in my Top Ten!!! Partly because SFCC goes as guests,

not workers, but mostly because the weather was great, guests had smiles, positive

attitudes, and frequently expressed their gratitude to SFCC for our involvement in

hosting a Corvette Event of this magnitude. Something we often overlook is the fact that

South Dakota is blessed to have the Black Hills, with roads that are a dream to drive a

Vette on. I always make it a point to ask guests how we can improve future events and

find that most feel it is well planned and well executed. Most enjoy that there are options

during the day followed by evening events that gather people to socialize. You’ve all

heard me say that “I came for the car and stay for the people.” I, along with many

others, enjoy the BHCC as a time to renew old friendships, enjoy the fellowship of like

minded people, and to meet some new people. Mission accomplished!!..with the aid of

Lucky’s patio fire pit and a few adult beverages.

Nothing expresses the bonds formed better than the Black Hills gold rings

donated by Keith & Lori Loyd and given away at the group breakfast on Saturday

morning. Harold & Joyce Van Der Wilt met Keith & Lori at a past BHCC and the

friendship that developed tells the story perfectly.

There are times that we all have that “Been there, done that “attitude, but should

we all have the “Same Event, new experiences” outlook? Since the Holiday Inn has

taken over the majority of the workload, we can truly attend BHCC as a guest. I look

forward to seeing you at the 55th BHCC in 2026.

SAVE THE WAVE
