About the event

In celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States and the 55th anniversary of the Black Hills Corvette Classic, the Sioux Falls Corvette Club, in association with Experience Sioux Falls, and Downtown Sioux Falls —is excited to bring Hot Summer Nites back to downtown Sioux Falls! After serving as a beloved staple in the downtown area for 25 years, this fan-favorite event returns in 2026 with a fresh location at 8th & Railroad Center. The celebration will feature Corvette-exclusive parking in the nearby Lumber Exchange parking ramp. We'll have a band, vendors, and plenty of parking for you to experience what makes this block party the best one around! This event is free and open to the public.

Hot Summer Nites is proudly hosted by the volunteer members of the Sioux Falls Corvette Club, which includes over 200 members from across the region. This year, we anticipate more than 400 Corvettes, with enthusiasts traveling from nearly 35 states to participate. Our club’s charitable efforts support American Legion Post 15 in Sioux Falls, with all donations going directly to assist veterans in need.

We encourage the public to attend this free, family-friendly event. Highlights of the evening include awards for the Top 5 Best Corvettes and live entertainment from the Shriner’s Last Call Band. Guests can also enjoy a variety of food vendors, with adult beverages available for purchase from Remedy Brewing Company. Local Scouts from Scouting America will be selling water and soda on-site as a fundraiser for new camping gear.  The American Legion Post 15 will be selling 50/50 raffle tickets and Remedy Brewing Company will be auctioning off a beer brewing experience – the chance for you to make your very own beer.  Proceeds of the 50/50 raffle and beer brewing experience will go directly to the American Legion Post 15.

Families will love the “Touch A Truck” experience, where kids can explore Police, Fire, and Rescue vehicles up close. As part of the America 250 celebration, Hot Summer Nites also marks the “Road to Rushmore” leading into the 55th Annual Black Hills Corvette Classic—one of the longest-running Corvette events in the nation.

Event History

Hot Summer Nites began as a small gathering where the community could view Corvettes arriving in Sioux Falls before making their way to Spearfish for the Black Hills Corvette Classic. The event originally started as a dinner meetup at the Tea Steakhouse, but as interest grew, it quickly outgrew the town of Tea.

In 1994, Hot Summer Nites moved to downtown Sioux Falls, where it continued to grow and thrive for 25 years along Phillips Avenue. As the city expanded, closing downtown streets became increasingly challenging, leading to the event’s relocation to the W.H. Lyons Fairgrounds in 2019.

For 2026, we are excited to bring Hot Summer Nites back to downtown Sioux Falls—returning to the heart of the city where it all grew into a community tradition.
